The Immortality of Flowers

Flower-gifting has always been part of our history that we really have no idea where the concept came from and how it began. Sending flowers is a very simple act, but is rich with a lot of meaning; that's why they are seen in almost every occasion because, with them, you will never go wrong.

Every nook and cranny of the house probably has traditional poinsettias during Christmas time. In fact, they are probably the most popular kinds at this time. They can be displayed by themselves, or combined with other kinds of varieties or arrangements, such as flower fairies prints and Christmas wreaths. Or you can choose to go for the Christmas Holly, instead. And because there are really no limits as to how Christmas flowers are arranged and presented, adorning our homes with them is always a creatively heartwarming act.

Valentines Day is the day of the red rose. It seems that during this event, everyone is holding or giving a red rose to themselves and their loved ones. Another favorite is the carnation. And speaking of flowers and gifts, they can also be appropriate during Easter, which almost always sees a bed of yellow and pink carnations at all places, along, of course, with the Easter eggs and cute Easter bunnies.

Aside from being great gifts, flowers can also be a very effective symbol for romance. As for the other kinds, gladioli were used to send a message of sincerity, acacias unrequited love, tropical hibiscus beauty, hyacinths sorrow, violets dedication, poppies success and wealth, just to name a few.

There really is no specific occasion where you should send or receive flowers. It is always nice to see flowers. That's why when you choose them, at least make them reflect your or the other person's preferences in terms of style, color and flower arrangement, among other things. You can get them as a bouquet, or for a longer lasting life, you can get them in potted version. Surely anybody, no matter how seemingly serious, will be happy receiving even a single flower as long as its from the heart.
