Going For laser eye surgery ? consider twice

Very old visual defects have made people worry and think clear unhampered vision as a dream. The invention of lasik eye surgery has come out to be an angel in disguise to make their dream come true. It's not for everyone. Among factors to consider are age, occupation, activities, price, risks and other health issues.

For example, Mandy made up her mind to choose lasik after probing all the options and their factors. The lower age limit for lasik is 21 years. Again the person shouldnt be a sportsperson or else it increases the hazards.

Though Mandy had done her insurance; it wont cover her lasik treatment. Hence she had saved bucks for the operation by living cost-effectively. When projected for a phase of 10 years, she came to know that other methods are costlier than surgery.

Mandys vision remained constant for a duration of 1 year hence her visual stability was good. Mandy wasn't heavy with child and look ahead to be in the next year, so her hormonal secretions should not cause her visual stability to fluctuate. She never had an eye ailment or injury nor did she experience dry eyes.

Lasik was perfect for her. Mandy was overjoyed with the outcomes of lasik. She was able to come back to office after four days when she got the lasik finished.

Then there's Emma who's also been considering lasik surgery . She's Thirty-two and her insurance compensates the procedures. With her ideal medical record, she has the sick time available and should be able to bounce back at home for a few days before returning to work. And, fortunately, there are no problems on lasik rectifications in her kind of task.

The only dilemma is that she is pregnant. That instantly rules out lasik for her at once, because pregnancy hormones can cause visual instability. Her oculist recommends she hold back at least a year after finishing breastfeeding. Because this is her foremost child, and she needs other children, she'll try for surgery again in about 5 years.

Andrew who is the age of forty five can see from only one eye and has to get laser vision correction. His astigmatism is such that his surgery would be more extensive than typical. Also, he has seen divergence in his vision and his farsightedness is rising. Therefore, despite the surgical treatment his eye sight may weaken after few years due to mounting farsightedness.

Right now, he found out that lasik is not an option for him. The hazards are so much when you have lost 1 eye of yourself. Also, the recommendation that can be given to him at present will be to wear contact lenses and reading glasses.

To end with, we have Sarah who has the lasik facts but cant see distant objects but is without astigmatism. At 40, she's not pregnant, not into contact sports, and has no problems on the operation due to her visual health. The trouble is that she is disturbed about relative improvement in laser surgery technology.

She has done her insurance but it wont comprise lasik operation. Also, she is economically not so strong at this point of time. With her stable sight, she's keeping aside lasik for now and going over contact lenses.

Laser surgery is getting more famous. It isn't for everybody, but many have gone through with the procedure and are blissful with the outcome. Others have tried it, discarded it, and in so doing, have found out new choices for their visual health.
